Wow, excelled our expectations. Beautiful, full of character, relaxing atmosphere, excellent restaurant and the owners were so helpful, making our first visit to Scotland quite amazing.

Excellent owners, restaurant and hotel crew. I do not normally write reviews but had to single this location out for exceptional people and service. The best of Scotland!!

Had the most wonderful stay at the Pennygate! Our room was incredibly cozy and the breakfast was divine! Highly recommend getting the room with the bathtub, the view is simply stunning!

Beautifully decorated home with wonderful breakfasts and dinners. The gardens out front are exquisite and the view of the water lovely. It's conveniently situated to walk to town, the ferry dock, and to explore the island from.

Breakfast was excellent, as was the service! And it is highly recommended to treat yourself to dinner in this house.

The tastefully decorated room, with a very nice bathroom and views of a great perennial garden as well as Craignure Bay we really liked. Thank you very much for the wonderful stay.

The hotel is sumptuous though not ostentatious and my room was spot on in every respect with views over the very large well-kept garden. Breakfast was a full Scottish with other options available and was really scrumptious.

Welcoming. Personable. Lovely rooms. Nice bar for pre or post dinner refreshment. Delicious breakfast and dinner! Would return in a heartbeat!! Wonderful place to return to after a day’s adventure! Thank you!

What a fabulous place to stay! Super comfortable accommodation - our bedroom and ensuite had stunning views over the water, a lovely king-size bed and copious hot water for bath and shower.

The cooked breakfasts were delicious and set us up for a day exploring Mull. Dinner at the restaurant was a real treat, starting with a local G&T in the lounge. Thank you Fiona & Tony, our stay was perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at Pennygate. It was a perfect place to spend a relaxing evening after a long day of hiking. The restaurant is intimate and the food was fantastic. Cannot wait to come back

This is a homely hotel and restaurant very conveniently situated close to the Craignure ferry terminal. Tony and Fiona are consummate hosts, taking time to make their guests feel welcome. The food is stupendous, including a meat, fish and vegetarian option and a range of modestly priced wines. Breakfast is cooked to order and sets you up nicely for the day.

Pennygate Lodge is a perfect base for exploring Mull, and its genuine hospitality makes it stand out.

Tony and Fiona, the owners, are outstanding hosts. Their warmth and friendliness set the tone for the entire experience. They were always happy to share their extensive knowledge of Mull and offer fantastic recommendations that made our trip memorable.

The food was a real highlight - each dish of locally sourced products was delicious, thanks to expert cooking.

The food went above and beyond! The taste and attention to detail was 10 out of 10!! Absolutely fantastic, worth every penny.

Tony and Fiona were friendly and knowledgeable and we particularly enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable and cosy lounge after breakfast or dinner with the wide, open views of the sea. The rooms were excellent, with hot powerful showers and great shutters making for a good sleep. We really will remember our stay here and hope to return.

The atmosphere Fiona and Tony have created is instantly welcoming. The attention to detail is effortless in its sophistication. Fresh coffee was available in my room, as were dressing gowns. Fabulous comfy bed, a great rainfall shower and big fluffy bath towels.

Exceptional meal served by lovely people held in a wonderful location. Many thanks for making our visit so special.

Excellent location, excellent rooms beyond my expectations. We booked for one night and ended up staying 4 nights, we liked it so much!

This hotel is simply excellent in every respect where the owners undertake everything. Ideal location for the ferry and exploring. My praise will never do it the justice it absolutely deserves.

We have stayed in some truly beautiful places in our many trips to Scotland, and Pennygate tops the list. It’s not possible to list all the special details and touches, but nothing has been overlooked. Nothing. Our room had a lovely view over the harbour, a staggeringly comfortable bed with terrific pillows and a bathroom that was straight out of a magazine.

Everything from the incredible food, to the softest bed linen and luxurious bathrooms, surpassed our expectations.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Mull is fantastic and Pennygate Lodge is a beautiful base.

Very very tasty ... not to be missed if you are visiting the Isle Of Mull. We had a fantastic time and will make sure we are back here again very soon. Divine tasting food, delicious.

The sitting room is a great place to relax but it has an amazing view. It worth just sitting there and taking it in.

Last minute holiday and we are so glad that we chose this place! Small paradise on the end of the world! The best scottish breakfast we ever had!

What a wonderful place to return to after a day of exploring stunning landscapes and historic sites in and around Mull. The rooms were immaculate, owners were most pleasant and welcoming and the food was excellent.

Stayed in Iona room on top floor - very luxurious- the walk in shower in the bathroom was totally pampering. Everything oozed style and attention to detail.

We had dinner here with friends who live on Mull, so they know the best places to dine. This was exceptional. Very friendly but nicely judged service.

As you walk through the door you are greeted and made to feel welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere is warm and cosy and Fiona and Tony are fantastic hosts. The meal was outstanding with good choice on the menu. We will be coming again!

We had the pleasure staying here before and after our wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a more romantic spot.
